to TRIP
TRIP
has been based in Honiton since 1997 and is a 'One
Stop Shop' for Community Transport information and
advice for the whole of East Devon and is available
for all people including the disabled, older people
and young people in rural areas. TRIP is a Registered
Charity (number 1082544) and depends on fundraising
efforts, as well as grants, to enable our services
to continue. Some of our services have been working
for even longer, the Honiton Ring & Ride was first
set up in 1990 and the Honiton Voluntary car Service
has been helping the community for even longer.
TRIP
Community Transport Association provides:-
Direct
administration for three voluntary car services covering
the Honiton district,
the Seaton area, the
Lyme Regis area and some
services for the Exeter
area.
The
Honiton & District Ring
& Ride, a fully accessible door to door bus
service covering the town and surrounding areas, providing
transport for shopping & trips out.
Wheelchair
accessible minibuses and smaller vehicles available
for individuals or groups to hire (with or without
driver)- contact the office for more details.
A disabled accessible vehicle service for the whole
community, serving the Honiton
area and the Seaton
area, transporting wheelchair users to the local social
services daycare centre and for medical appointments
or for trips out.
Honiton Shopmobility
wheelchair and electric scooter hire.
A school transport service for a special school in
Honiton.
Administration of the F5 & F18 Devon County Council
Fare Car private hire/ shared
taxi schemes covering Honiton and the surrounding
area plus Wednesday trips from some villages West
of Honiton into Cullompton.
We handle the Ambulance Service Patient Transport
bookings for patients in Exeter & East Devon for
transport to hospitals in Exeter, East Devon and the
South West area.
We
carry a stock of living aids
including grabbers, walking sticks and frames, manual
wheelchairs and a wide range of other equipment to
make life easier, plus new and used scooters and powered
wheelchairs. We can arrange serviceing and repairs
for all makes of mobility scooter- including puncture
repairs.
We
are a Registered Charity (1082544) and a company limited
by guarantee.
