The Lyme Area Voluntary Car Service covers Lyme Regis and the surrounding area including Charmouth, Harcombe, Raymonds Hill, Rousdon and Uplyme providing transport into Lyme Regis for medical appointments or to the Seaton Hospital, local doctors surgeries, opticians, dentists and chiropodists. Transport is also provided for appointments elsewhere including Axminster, Bridport, Dorchester and Exeter.

Charges for this service are based on mileage covered, with a minimum charge of £3.00 within Lyme Regis and Uplyme for a return journey.

All transport is provided by local volunteers using their own vehicles and the charges made are used to reimburse them for their vehicle costs.

This service is operated on a charitable basis (Charity Number 1082544) and is part funded by donations from local groups and individuals.
