HOW
CAN YOU HELP???
Volunteers
play a vital part in helping TRIP carry out its role
of providing transport solutions to people in need
in East Devon. Volunteers help provide transport for
over 5000 people attending medical appointments per
year in the Honiton and Seaton areas alone. Without
the help given by these volunteers, a large number
of unwell people wouldn't be able to attend their
appointments.
Have
you got any spare time to help?????
Volunteers
are always needed for the Honiton, Seaton and Lyme
Area Voluntary Car Services. There are no special
restrictions on becoming a volunteer driver so please
call into the office for more information.
Volunteers
are also needed to help out by occasionally driving
a minibus for weekend Ring & Ride outings to places
of interest around the area. Recent destinations include
Weston-Super-Mare, Torbay, Dorchester and Glastonbury.
Full training will be given. There is no special driving
licence requirement if a licence has been held from
before 1997 (D1) apart from if you are over 70 when
a medical certificate may be required. If the test
was taken after 1997 then necessary training can be
provided.
Volunteers
are also needed to help with TRIPs ongoing fundraising
efforts. Could you help organise or assist with fundraising
events such as table sales, sponsored events, gala
days, evening functions etc? If so, please contact
the TRIP office for more information on 01404
