A Community Christmas

P1

Every year at Christmas families, friends and communities come together to share in festivities, entertain and be merry.

However, this year for many people a normal Christmas was out of the question. With restrictions in place many couldn’t spend Christmas with those they love, or even go out for a festive meal.

To combat this a number of local organizations, businesses, and individuals came together to ensure everyone would have a meal on Christmas.

With their support over 50 families received a delicious (not to mention free) 3 course Christmas dinner.

Over 87 three-course meals were delivered on Christmas day by a team of volunteers, who kindly gave up part of their Christmas day to ensure everyone in their community had something to enjoy this Christmas.

We would also like to thank the following:

  • St Paul’s Church for being our gracious host
  • Porkies the Family Butchers
  • The Kings Centre
  • Honiton Forward
  • The Combe Garden Centre
  • Honiton Chamber of Commerce
  • Honiton Foodsave
  • and many more who helped us on the day and beforehand
