TRIP is continuing to support our community through this difficult time. Understandably, the way TRIP operates and its services have changed over the last few weeks.
Firstly, to help reduce the risk of infection our Honiton office is closed to the public. We continue to coordinate our operations from the office with a reduced staff. Whilst the door is locked, we will still answer during normal working hours if you knock. However, we strongly encourage people to use non-physical contact methods by phoning us on 01404 46529. For normal TRIP inquiries, you can continue to use our contact form or email us at [email protected] For inquiries relating to Coronavirus, the support available to you or to offer your help as a volunteer we ask that you email [email protected] or phone us on 01404 46529.
Normal TRIP transport services such as our outings are suspended until further notice. We are still however, offering transport to medical appointments.
To replace our normal service, we are currently offering a shopping service. More information about the complete set of offerings available in our Coronavirus Response can be found on the Ask For Help page.
We hope all of our community is staying safe during this time and following ALL government guidelines. Whilst these guidelines could be considered drastic, they are vital in defeating Coronavirus. More information can be found here: UK Government Advice

As a result of the COVID-19 outbreak, TRIP have made the difficult decision to cancel all outings along with the Ring & Ride service. The emergency voluntary car service will still remain in place.

As the situation progresses TRIP and a number of local organisations, individual and council members have set up an action group to help deal with the effects of Coronavirus and coordinate a response. This group will provide vital services such as hot meal delivery, shopping delivery, dog walking and prescription delivery. We ask that anyone who is able to volunteer fills out the form by clicking the ‘Volunteer With Us’ button. Additionally, to those who are struggling at the moment or are aware of an individual who is struggling, we ask that you will out the form by clicking the ‘Ask for help’ button. As the number of cases of COVID-19 increase throughout the UK, TRIP wants to ensure that both its service users & volunteers are Up-To-Date on how we are dealing with this.
We are and will continue to follow the latest advice from NHS England & The Government.
We aim to continue operating our full service but hope you will understand that some services may be affected due to a shortage of volunteers should the virus progress further in our area.
The NHS have released a webpage ( https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/) providing members of the public information about coronavirus. We ask that you follow both the NHS & Government advice and seek medical advice before using any TRIP services if you are presenting any symptoms.
